Prime Minister (PM) Narendra Modi today attacked the Congress over corruption and said the countdown has begun for the exit of its government in Chhattisgarh. PM said that the Congress government will end in the state, which is 'confirmed’ after the first phase of elections.

Addressing an election rally in Chhattisgarh's Mungeli district, Modi also took a dig at the purported power-sharing agreement between Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel & Deputy CM T.S. Singh Deo, and said when the Congress can ditch its own senior leaders, then it is certain that it will cheat people and not fulfil the promises made to them. PM hit out at the CM Bhupesh Bagheli over rampant corruption and said that Chief is also losing in this election. He also accused the Congress of direct involvement in Mahadev betting app scandal. The Prime Minister said that Chhattisgarh will witness a rapid push in development if the BJP government returns to power in the state.

Chhattisgarh is voting in two phases, with the first phase of 20 seats was held on November 7 and the remaining 70 seats will go for polling on November 17. The counting of votes will be done on December 3.
