Just in: Retail inflation falls to 4.87% in October vs 5.02% in September

The country’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased to 4.87 per cent in the month of October 2023 as compared to 5.02 per cent in September 2023. The consumer food price index (CFPI) declined to 6.61 per cent in October from 6.62 per cent in September. Rural inflation stood at 5.12 per cent while urban inflation stood at 4.62 per cent in October 2023.
