Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, kindled by the weakness in dollar and US Treasury bond yield notes followed by the softer than expected US inflation data. Additionally, raised bets that Federal Reserve Bank has done with its monetary tightening cycle also supported investment appeal of the bullion.
Gold futures for December delivery jumped by $16.30 or 0.83% to $1966.50 ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold rose by $2.76 points or 0.14% to $1,967.05 per ounce.
