Copper futures was trading higher on Friday on demand optimism from China following announcement of financial support to struggling Chinese property developers. Moreover, weak US dollar and growing concerns over supply disruptions in Peru and Panama also supported copper prices.
Copper futures for December delivery gained 0.19% or $0.0070 at $3.77 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
