Asian markets trade mostly lower in early deals on Friday

Asian markets traded mostly lower in early deals on Friday, as the investors side lined amidst global economic slowdown worries. Sluggish economic signals from Japan and the euro zone saddled market investment volume. Uncertainty over the path of US interest rates in the coming year also dulled risk appetite. The Hang Seng was the worst performer among its peers on Friday. The investors were cautious ahead to of Chinese PMI data for October next week after readings in September indicated dip in manufacturing while services activity moderated. 

Straits Times rose 18.12 points or 0.58% to 3,096.80, Hang Seng down 247.76 points 1.40% to 17,663.08, KOSPI Index increased 14.08 points or 0.56% to 2,500.88, Taiwan Weighted narrowed 17.44 points or 0.10% to 17,277.11, Jakarta Composite climbed by 0.69 points or 0.01% to 7,003.65, Shanghai Composite added by 14.64 points or 0.48% to 3,047.22, and FTSE Bursa Malaysia KLCI curtailed by 1.16 points or 0.08% to 1,452.13.

On the flip side, Nikkei 225 up by 216.94 points 0.65% to 33,668.77.
