Copper futures settle down on muted demand globally

30 Nov 2023 Evaluate
Copper futures settled down on Wednesday on account of muted demand globally. However, high supply disruptions in major copper producers, Peru and Panama and hopes of extension in Chinese supportive measures have limited further falls in copper prices.

Copper futures for December delivery lost $0.0140 to settle at $3.7860 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange. Copper on the London Metal Exchange was down by 0.68 percent at $8,415.50 a ton.
