Reliance Communications inks pact with Aircel

Reliance Communications (RCOM) has inked pact with Aircel, to sign sharing agreements in zones where it does not have network. With this initiative, the entity plans to add a total of 10,000 base stations and will be able to cut capital expenditure of around Rs 1,200 crore. The company has recently launched a growth plan by sharing agreements with competitors’.

Further, the company has to pay the operator with whom it has a tie up. This move will help it to penetrate in Tamil Nadu, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh East and West, Maharashtra, Gujarat, Punjab and Rajasthan service areas.
