Godawari Power & Ispat has commissioned & duly synchronized a new high efficiency 48 MW Power Turbine Generator with the grid and put to use at the company’s Integrated Steel Plant at Siltara Industrial Area, Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
The existing old turbines have been replaced with this new turbine, which is more advance and efficient in generation of power, which is expected to generate additional 7 to 8 MW electric power, without additional fuel consumption. The additional power generated from new turbine will be used for captive consumption in steel plant to replace power being purchased from grid. The replacement cost has been incurred from the internal accruals of the Company.
Godawari Power & Ispat is engaged in the production of sponge iron, steel billets, ferro alloys, HB wires, oxygen, fly ash bricks and is also in the power business.
