Asian markets settle mostly higher on Monday

11 Dec 2023 Evaluate
Asian markets settled mostly higher on Monday ahead of cues from a slew of central bank meetings due later in the week. Investors main focus is on US inflation reading and the US Federal Reserve's final policy meeting for the year. Chinese shares gained even after data showed the consumer prices in Chinese economy fell the fastest in three years in November, while factory-gate deflation deepened. Moreover, Japanese shares rose as a weaker yen lifted risk sentiment.
