Just in: Retail inflation surges to 5.55% in November vs 4.87% in October

The country’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), increased to 5.55 per cent in the month of November 2023 as compared to 4.87 per cent in October 2023. The consumer food price index (CFPI) increased to 8.70 per cent in November from 6.61 per cent in October. Rural inflation stood at 5.85 per cent while urban inflation stood at 5.26 per cent in November 2023.
