Coromandel International has been bestowed with the ‘Best Management Award-2013’ by the Government of Andhra Pradesh. The award was given to the company in recognition of its harmonious industrial relations, productivity and commendable contribution to labor welfare.
The Labor Department of AP Government presents this award to outstanding companies every year to support and promote excellence in management practices.
Coromandel International is the country’s second-largest phosphatic fertilizer player. Its crop protection business produces insecticides, fungicides and herbicides and markets these products in India and across the globe. The firm has also ventured into the retail business, setting up more than 640 rural retail centres in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka.
