Bharti Airtel reports 49.44% fall in Q4 consolidated net profit

Bharti Airtel has reported results for the fourth quarter & year ended March 31, 2013.

The company has reported a fall of 31.12% in its net profit at Rs 1084.40 crore in Q4FY13 as compared to net profit of Rs 1574.30 crore in the same quarter previous year. However, the total income of the company rose by 6.36% to Rs 11640.10 crore as compared to Rs 10943.50 crore in corresponding quarter last year.

On consolidated basis, the group has reported a fall of 49.44% in its net profit at Rs 508.60 crore in quarter under review as compared to Rs 1005.90 crore in same period previous year.  However, total income on consolidated basis has increased by 9.19% to Rs 20460.40 crore as against Rs 18738.80 crore in a year ago period.

For the full year, the company has reported a net profit of Rs 5096.30 crore for the year ended March 31, 2013, a fall of 11.06% as compared to Rs 5730.00 crore for the year ended March 31, 2012. However, total income has increased to Rs 46814.00 crore in FY13 from Rs 42228.50 crore in FY12, up by 10.86%.

On consolidated basis, the group has registered 46.57% fall in net profit  at Rs 2275.70  crore in FY13 as against Rs 4259.40  crore in previous year.  However, the total income of the company has increased to Rs 80359.00 crore as compared to Rs 71505.80 crore in FY12, up by 12.38%.
