Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, kindled by the slide in dollar and on weakness in US Treasury bond yield notes. Besides, prospects of three interest rate cuts by Federal Reserve next year also fuelled the upward momentum. Meanwhile, investors awaited U.S. inflation numbers later this week.

Gold futures for February delivery rose by $11.60 or 0.56% to settle at $2052.10 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold up by $0.08 points or 0.001% to $2,040.43 ounce.
