Gold futures finished higher on Thursday, as the slower than expected Quarter three GDP data bolstered Fed interest rate easing campaign bets kindling investment appeal of the bullion. Meanwhile, UK November inflation slumped to more than two year-low hit, bolstering the prospect of a global rate cutting cycle. Even though, stronger dollar and bond yield notes limited some gains.
Gold futures for February delivery rose by $3.60 or 0.17% to $2051.30 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. Spot gold jumped by $3.82 points or 0.19% to $2,049.77 ounce.
