Ambuja Cements has reported results for the first quarter ended March 31, 2013
On standalone basis, the company has posted a rise of 56.27% in its net profit at Rs 487.90 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2013 as compared to Rs 312.22 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. However, total income of the company has decreased marginally by 1.35% at Rs 2706.54 crore for quarter under review as compared to Rs 2743.71 crore for the quarter ended March 31, 2012.
Ambuja Cements was set up in 1986. In the last decade the company has grown tenfold. The total cement capacity of the company is 18.5 million tonnes. Its plants are some of the most efficient in the world. With environment protection measures that are on par with the finest in the developed world.
