Gold futures traded higher in early deals of Tuesday, whetted by the safe haven appeal amidst intensified Middle East tensions and on concerns over global economic health. Moreover, bets of Fed interest rate trims from the month of March after dip in US producer inflation data also buoyed yellow metal investments. However, stronger dollar and bond yield notes capped some gains in the session.
Gold futures for February delivery climbed by $1.50 or 0.07% to $2053.10 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold down by $6.98 points or 0.34% to $2,049.57 ounce.
