Copper futures was trading lower on Monday after China's central bank (PBoC) kept its loan prime rates unchanged amid downward pressure on the yuan, which disappointed investors who anticipated measures to stimulate the Chinese economy. Meanwhile, investors were cautious ahead of the central bank's interest rate verdict next week.
Copper futures for March delivery lost 0.24% or $0.0090 at $3.7775 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
