Prashant Bhushan, senior lawyer and Team Anna member, who was beaten up by two people for his remarks on Kashmir has remained adamant on his stance. Bhushan was attacked whilst giving TV interview in New Lawyers Chamber opposite Supreme Court.

According to Bhushan, fascist mindset is now increasingly being seen in several organizations and if someone does not agree with any viewpoint that that person has every right to express his opposition, but that should not become a license to indulge in violence.

However, Bhushan, condemning the attacks continued to stand by his statement --“my belief my belief is that we should try to normalise the situation in Kashmir, remove the army, get rid off AFSPA and should try and win the hearts and minds of the Kashmiri people. If even then they continue to say they want to be separated, then we should allow a plebiscite and if that comes out and they still want to separate, then we should allow them to separate,”-- which led to attacks.

Further, he added that this are his own views and also of few Indians. Although people sharing this views are in minority, or there are many others do not wish to share it. However, it’s the time that Indians should seriously think and try to resolve one of the oldest problem of our nation.

Nearly similar views were echoed by novelist Arundhati Roy, for which case has been registered against her. As this are considered as anti-national remarks.
