Copper futures traded almost flat with negative momentum on Monday as demand concerns after data showed China's services activity expanded at a slightly slower pace in January and escalating geopolitical tensions adding downward pressure on copper prices. Meanwhile, much stronger-than-expected US job growth in January and an improvement in consumer sentiment dimmed the possibility of an interest rate cut in March.
Copper futures for March delivery lost 0.07% or $0.0025 at $3.8190 a pound on the Comex metals division of New York Mercantile Exchange.
