Gold futures finished higher on Tuesday, supported by the decline in dollar and 10-year Treasury bond yield notes. Moreover, safe haven bets with the prevailing geopolitical tensions also lifted yellow metal investments. However, possibility of fewer than expected Fed interest rate cuts this year capped some gains in the session.
Gold futures for April delivery up by $8.50 or 0.41% to settle at $2051.40 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold dipped by $0.99 points or 0.05% to $2,035.15 ounce.
