Shoppers Stop has received an approval for transfer, sell or disposal through other means, of the business conducted by the company with ELCA Cosmetics, to Gateway Multichannel Retail (India), a wholly owned subsidiary (WOS) of the company, subject to the approval of the shareholders of the company by way of Postal Ballot. The board of directors at its meeting held on May 15, 2013 has approved for the same.
Shoppers Stop is engaged in the retailing business. It runs a chain of departmental stores with brands including Shopper’s Stop, Home Stop, Crossword, Cafes and Restaurants etc.
