Gold futures finished lower on Wednesday, as the rebounding dollar rates and lingering high interest rates dulled investment appeal of the bullion. The hotter than expected US CPI data dampened early interest rate cut hopes by Federal Reserve. The yellow metal for the most active contract settled near two month low rate.
Gold futures for April delivery down by $2.90 or 0.14% to settle at $2004.30 per ounce on the Comex division of the New York Mercantile. While, spot gold dipped by $ 0.75 points or 0.04% to $ 1,991.58 ounce.
