Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today said a ‘serious constitutional crisis’ has emerged in Delhi as officials say they will not work due to alleged ‘threats and pressure’ from the BJP.

During his address in the Delhi Assembly, Kejriwal said that the problem arose from Delhi not getting full statehood and the real authority lies with the central government. There is a separate party government in the center and ‘the party does not want the elected government (of Delhi) to do its work.’ He claimed that officers have alleged that the officers are being threatened to block the one-time settlement scheme for correcting water bills because of pressure from the BJP. If they don't do so, they would be suspended and arrested by the ED and CBI. Kejriwal also claimed the officers' unwillingness to work has led to a ‘serious constitutional crisis’ in Delhi.

Delhi CM appealed to Lt Governor VK Saxena to call the officers for clearance of the scheme and added that 10.5 lakh families will benefit from this ‘good scheme’.
