Asian markets settled mostly down on Wednesday tracking Wall Street’s overnight fall ahead of chipmaker Nvidia's quarter earnings and the Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) meeting minutes release later today. The US Federal Reserve might provide additional insight into the outlook for interest rates. Japanese shares declined despite data showing that Japan's exports grew much more than expected in January. However, mainland Chinese and Hong Kong markets gained after Chinese authorities clamped down on trading by quant funds, adding to a series of recent support measures to end the market rout.
