Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has incorporated Wholly Owned Subsidiary (WOS) namely ‘ONGC Green’. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs, Government of India has issued Certificate of Incorporation of ‘ONGC Green’ on February 27, 2024.
The said WOS has been incorporated to engage into the business of value-chains of energy business viz. Renewable Energy (Solar, Wind, Hybrid, Hydel, tidal and Geothermal etc.), Bio-fuels/ Bio-gas business, Green Hydrogen and its derivatives like green Ammonia, Green Methanol, Storage, Carbon Capture utilisation and storage and LNG business.
ONGC is India’s largest government-run corporation and produces about 70% of India’s crude oil and natural gas. The corporation is the biggest public sector commercial organization in India.
