Asian markets end mixed on Friday

Asian markets ended mixed on Friday. Chinese market gained ahead of National People's Congress next week during which Beijing will announce the annual GDP growth target. China's mixed data also increasing pressure on policymakers to unveil more stimulus. Japanese markets hit a record high tracking Wall Street bounce overnight as a key US inflation reading came in as expected, a relief for investors that had looked for a June interest rate cut. Investor’s attention turned to further commentary from US Federal Reserve officials for cues on interest rate cuts. South Korean markets were closed for a public holiday.
