Asian market settle mostly higher on Thursday

Asian market settled mostly higher on Thursday ahead to the release of US producer price inflation, retail sales and jobless claims data, due out later in the day for clues on interest rates. Meanwhile, investors were also awaiting next week's BoJ policy meeting. Japanese shares rose as chip-related stocks narrowed early losses and energy shares gained. However, Chinese shares slipped with caution ahead of upcoming new loans data and the PBOC rate decision. Hong Kong shares dropped on caution ahead of earnings announcements next week.
