Asian markets settled mostly higher on Monday ahead to a slew of central bank decisions this week, including from the US Federal Reserve, the Reserve Bank of Australia, the Bank of Japan and the Bank of England. Japanese markets led regional gains, tracking a weaker yen ahead of a BoJ policy meeting, which is widely expected to end its negative interest rates and yield curve control policies later in the week. Chinese shares gained as latest readings on Chinese industrial output, retail sales and fixed asset investment for the first two months of 2024 beat estimates. Moreover, rising expectations of more stimulus to stabilize growth in the world's second-largest economy, also supported market sentiments.
