NMDC has registered a 0.85% fall in its iron ore production to 3.48 million tonne (MT) in April 2024. The company had produced 3.51 MT iron ore in April last year. However, the sales volumes increased 2.92% to 3.53 MT in April 2024 from 3.43 MT in the same month a year ago.
The company’s Chhattisgarh mines produced 2.35 MT of iron ore and registered sales volume of 2.74 MT, while Karnataka mines produced 1.13 MT of iron ore and sold 0.79 MT of iron ore in April 2024.
NMDC is a state-controlled mineral producer of the Government of India. It is fully owned by the Government of India and is under administrative control of the Ministry of Steel.
