DCM Shriram rises on starting caustic soda expansion project in Bharuch

DCM Shriram is currently trading at Rs. 972.05, up by 4.70 points or 0.49% from its previous closing of Rs. 967.35 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 974.55 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 986.00 and Rs. 969.20 respectively. So far 1987 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 2 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1175.00 on 04-Jan-2024 and a 52 week low of Rs. 805.00 on 04-May-2023.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 986.00 and Rs. 946.05 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 15194.24 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 66.52%, while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 11.84% and 21.63% respectively.

DCM Shriram has commissioned its Caustic Soda Expansion Project of 850 TPD at its Chemical complex in Jhagadia, Bharuch Dist. Gujarat, on May 3, 2024, taking the total installed capacity to 2225 TPD at Bharuch and the overall annual Caustic Soda capacity at both Bharuch and Kota locations to 1 million metric tonnes. With this project commissioning, Bharuch complex will be the single largest caustic soda complex in the country and thereby driving economies of scale.

DCM Shriram runs two businesses energy intensive and agri business. The company is also the third largest manufacturer of Chlor-Alkali in the India. They have launched value added UPVC window system business under the Fenesta TM brand in India.
