Anti-Naxal operations have been introduced by Odisha police in the state, days after the deadly Naxal attack in Chhattisgarh. Earlier on Tuesday, the Government had said that anti-Naxal operations would be intensified following the gruesome Naxal attack on Congress.

According to reports Naxals from Odisha may have been involved in last week's bloodbath in Chhattisgarh. The deadly attack in the Bastar district of Chhattisgarh left 24 people dead including state Congress leader Mahendra Karma and state Congress chief Nand Kumar Patel.

Minister of State for Home RPN Singh said Maoist barbarism and cold blooded murders have peaked in the last six months and there was an urgent need to re-look the policy dealing with the Naxals.
