Just in: Retail inflation declines to 4.83% in April vs 4.85% in March

The country’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), decreased to 4.83 per cent in the month of April 2024 as compared to 4.85 per cent in March 2024. Rural inflation stood at 5.43 per cent while urban inflation stood at 4.11 per cent in April 2024. The consumer food price index (CFPI) increased to 8.70 per cent in April from 8.52 per cent in March.
