ONGC reports 78% rise in Q4 consolidated net profit

Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has reported results for fourth quarter (Q4) and year ended March 31, 2024.

The company has reported many fold jump in its net profit at Rs 9,869.37 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 527.86 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 0.25% at Rs 38,316.66 crore for Q4FY24 as compared Rs 38,220.66 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

On consolidated basis, the company has reported 77.93% rise in its net profit at Rs  11,526.53 crore for fourth quarter ended March 31, 2024 as compared to Rs 6,478.23 crore for the same quarter in the previous year. Total income of the company increased by 1.89% at Rs 1,69,875.25 crore for Q4FY24 as compared Rs 1,66,725.12 crore for the corresponding quarter previous year.

For the year ended March 31, 2024, the company has reported marginal rise in its net profit at Rs 40,525.96 crore as compared to Rs 40,096.51 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 8.56% at Rs 1,49,180.32 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 1,63,143.87 crore for year ended March 31, 2023.

For the year ended March 31, 2024, on the consolidated basis, the company has reported 67.71% rise in its net profit at Rs 57,100.84 crore as compared to Rs 34,046.46 crore for the previous year. However, total income of the company decreased by 5.43% at Rs 6,55,258.94 crore for year under review as compared to Rs 6,92,903.30 crore for year ended March 31, 2023.
