Tilaknagar Industries (TI), one of the leading players in the Indian alcoholic beverage industry and manufacturers of Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL), has entered into an agreement with Mohan Breweries and Distilleries (MBDL) for assignment of MBDL's trademarks namely, 'Brigadier's No. 1 Brandy' and 'Vorion No. 1' Indian Brandy, for a period of 25 years. These two brands together have posted total volumes of 3.20 million cases for the year ended 31st March 2013.
The transaction is part of TI's ambition to consistently expand and enables TI to increase penetration in the region of Tamil Nadu through enhanced brand presence and geographical reach. Under the terms of the agreement, TI will be utilizing MBDL's manufacturing & bottling facilities and will leverage and further build upon its existing sales and distribution expertise, to grow and tap opportunities present in the region.
Tilaknagar Industries is one of the renowned Indian Made Foreign Liquor players including whisky, brandy, gin, rum and vodka with presence across India. The company manufactures markets and sells more than 40 brands across all price points.
