Colgate Palmolive slumps on reporting marginal fall in Q2 net profit

Colgate Palmolive is currently trading at Rs. 992.55, down by 6.20 points or 0.62% from its previous closing of Rs. 998.75 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 995.10 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 1010.00 and Rs. 973.65 respectively. So far 35759 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 1057.00 on 07-Sep-2011 and a 52 week low of Rs. 783.20 on 02-Feb-2011.

The company’s net profit after tax for the second quarter of the current fiscal has declined marginally by 0.62% at Rs 99.68 crore as compared to Rs 100.30 crore for the corresponding quarter of the last year. The company’s total income has surged by 18.64% at Rs 685.01 crore for the quarter under review as compared to Rs 577.39 crore for the second quarter of the previous year.
