Idea cellular has reportedly hiked 3G roaming data rate from 7 paise to 10 paise per 10kb in Kerala. The company has also increased 2G pre-paid local, national roaming data rates.
Recently, the company’s data ARPU for 3G users increased to Rs 105 in Q4 from Rs 97 in Q3. Also, the blended 2G plus 3G (data ARPU) is Rs 55, up by Rs 3 over the last quarter, while the data contribution as a percentage of service revenue improved 2.1 percent from 4.5 percent in Q1 to 6.6 percent in Q4.
