Bharti Airtel receives shareholders' nod for stake sale to Qatar investor

Bharti Airtel has received nod from its shareholders for a $1.2 billion deal to sell a 5% stake of the company to the Qatar Foundation Endowment. With this initiative, the company plans to reduce its $11.7 billion debt. This is Qatar's first major investment in a listed Indian company.
