Hyderabad Industries’ Surat plant receives GreenCo Gold Rating award

Hyderabad Industries’ Surat plant has received the GreenCo Gold Rating award instituted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII). With this, the C K Birla Group company has become the first green building materials plant in India. The Surat plant manufactures 2.4-lakh-cubic meter of autoclaved aerated concrete blocks, using more than 65% of fly ash level from coal-based power plants. The company expects sustainable growth in volumes in the ensuing months, with its plant location helping it get access to markets in western and southern states.

Hyderabad Industries (HIL) is a flagship company of the C K Birla group of companies. HIL has led the cement industry for well over five decades. Today HIL is a multi product, multi location organization with a formidable network of branches, depots, stockists and personnel spread all over India.
