Aurobindo Pharma’s wholly-owned subsidiary -- TheraNym Biologics has inked a pact with MSD to set up a plant as it looks to enter the contract manufacturing operations for biologicals. As part of the arrangement, Theranym will invest around Rs 1,000 crore for establishing manufacturing facility with capacity of up to 25-30 million vials per annum. TheraNym will build the manufacturing facility, manufacture the products and supply to MSD as per the arrangement.
Aurobindo Pharma is engaged in manufacturing pharmaceutical products. It offers active pharmaceutical ingredients, intermediates and generic formulations like astemizole, domeperidone and omeprazole; anti-infective, oral and sterile antibiotics, pain management and osteoporosis segments.
