BSE has completed the acquisition of S&P Dow Jones Indices' entire equity stake in Asia Index (AIPL), making it a wholly-owned subsidiary of the bourse. AIPL was a joint venture between S&P Dow Jones Indices and BSE and is best known for calculating and maintaining the popular index Sensex.
BSE provides an efficient and transparent market for trading in equity, debt instruments, derivatives, mutual funds. It also has a platform for trading in equities of small-and-medium enterprises (SME).
