MTNL launches new 10 Mbps Broadband plans in Mumbai

Mahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL), the state owned telecom firm which operates in Delhi and Mumbai, has launched all new 10 Mbps High-Speed Broadband plans starting from Rs 990 using Very High Bitrate DSL (VDSL) technology.

The entry level MTNL VDSL Broadband plan starts from Rs 990 and offers 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speed till the 25GB. After 25GB data usage, speed is downgraded to 512 Kbps. While the other VDSL Broadband plan are - VDSL Power Rs 1,290, Rs 1,690 and Rs 2,290 offering the same speed of 10 Mbps download / 5 Mbps upload speed up to 45GB, 75GB and 150GB respectively.

MTNL was set up by the Government of India to upgrade the quality of telecom services, expand the telecom network, and introduce new services and to raise revenue for telecom development needs of India's key metros -- Delhi and Mumbai.
