University of Agricultural Sciences (UAS), Bangalore, will be celebrating its 50 years of existence by holding a year-long Golden Jubilee programme for farmers, students and agri-technologists. The university has so far developed 180 new breeds. Among them hybrid ragi, paddy, sunflower and cotton varieties have gained international recognition.
