BJP announces leaders in charge for upcoming state Assembly elections

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national President J P Nadda today announced the leaders in charge and co-incharge for the upcoming Assembly elections in Maharashtra, Haryana, Jharkhand, and Jammu and Kashmir.

The saffron party has appointed party leaders Bhupendra Yadav and Ashwini Vaishnav as state election in-charge and co-in-charge for Maharashtra. Party leaders Dharmendra Pradhan and Biplab Kumar Dev have been appointed as in-charge for Haryana. At the same time, BJP leaders Shivraj Singh Chauhan and Himanta Biswa Sarma will be the party's election in-charge for Jharkhand. G Kishan Reddy has been appointed as the BJP election in-charge for Jammu and Kashmir. 

Jammu and Kashmir has not seen Assembly elections since the removal of Article 370 in August 2019. The elections in these states are to be held in the next one year. The dates have not been announced yet.
