Bharti Airtel has acquired around 26.95 million (i.e. 1%) equity shares of Indus Towers. The Special Committee of Directors for evaluation of stake in Subsidiaries and Joint Ventures’ has on June 19, 2024, approved the acquisition of upto 27 million equity stake in Indus Towers.
Earlier, the company had prepaid the entire dues of Rs 7,904 crore for the spectrum it acquired in 2012 and 2015 to the Department of Telecom.
