Shree Cement has achieved an installed power capacity of 1,000 MW (1 GW). This milestone follows the commissioning of a 19.5 MW solar power plant at its Andhra Pradesh facility. The one gigawatt capacity comprises diverse energy sources, including solar, wind, thermal, and waste heat recovery. This strategic mix underscores Shree Cement's commitment to meeting electricity demands for its cement production sustainably.

The company has invested Rs 4,000 crore to expand its renewable energy portfolio, which now represents almost half of its total power capacity. Looking forward, Shree Cement plans to invest an additional Rs 1,000 crore in FY25 to further boost its renewable capacity, specifically targeting the installation of 132 MW of solar power across five states, 36 MW of wind power in Rajasthan, and 34 MW of waste heat recovery capacity in Karnataka and Rajasthan.

Shree Cement is engaged in the manufacturing and selling of cement and cement related products. It is recognized as one of the most efficient and environment friendly company in the global cement industry.
