Bajaj Finserv Lending has launched Mobile POS service, in association with Ezetap, a mobile-based payments service provider based out of Bangalore. Pursuant to this launch, Bajaj Finserv Lending has become the first NBFC in India to offer a Mobile POS service to its customers.
Bajaj Finserv Lending is leveraging on Ezetap’s mobile point of sale (POS) device that allows GPRS enabled mobile phones to be converted into Point of Sale terminals. An agent can plug in Ezetap’s mobile POS, swipe their card on it, and enter in the amount that needs to be paid on an app.
Bajaj Finserv is engaged in life insurance, general insurance and consumer finance businesses and has plans to expand its business by offering a wide array of financial products and services in India. Apart from financial services, the company is also active in wind-energy generation.
