Bajaj Finserv moves up as its landing division launches Mobile POS service

Bajaj Finserv is currently trading at Rs. 626.50, up by 0.65 points or 0.10% from its previous closing of Rs. 625.85 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs. 625.00 and has touched a high and low of Rs. 629.00 and Rs. 619.80 respectively. So far 652 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Rs. 5 has touched a 52 week high of Rs. 979.40 on 05-Oct-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs. 618.70 on 11-Jun-2013.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs. 673.25 and Rs. 618.70 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs. 9934.01 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 58.89% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 15.37% and 25.71% respectively.

Bajaj Finserv Lending has launched Mobile POS service, in association with Ezetap, a mobile-based payments service provider based out of Bangalore. Pursuant to this launch, Bajaj Finserv Lending has become the first NBFC in India to offer a Mobile POS service to its customers.

Bajaj Finserv Lending is leveraging on Ezetap’s mobile point of sale (POS) device that allows GPRS enabled mobile phones to be converted into Point of Sale terminals. Mobile POS is a card reader which when attached to the mobile handset enables the individual to accept the credit/debit card payment using the card reader. An agent can plug in Ezetap’s mobile POS, swipe their card on it, and enter in the amount that needs to be paid on an app.

Bajaj Finserv is engaged in life insurance, general insurance and consumer finance businesses and has plans to expand its business by offering a wide array of financial products and services in India. Apart from financial services, the company is also active in wind-energy generation.
