Just in: Retail inflation rises to 5.08% in June vs 4.75% in May

The country’s retail inflation, measured by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), increased to 5.08 per cent in the month of June 2024 as compared to 4.75 per cent in May 2024. Rural inflation stood at 5.66 per cent while urban inflation stood at 4.39 per cent in June 2024. The consumer food price index (CFPI) increased to 9.36 per cent in June from 8.69 per cent in May.
