Ashok Leyland trades in pink of its health on BSE

Ashok Leyland is currently trading at Rs 21.60, up by 0.45 points or 2.13% from its previous closing of Rs 21.15 on the BSE.

The scrip opened at Rs 21.25 and has touched a high and low of Rs 21.60 and Rs 20.90 respectively. So far 195906 shares were traded on the counter.

The BSE group 'A' stock of face value Re 1 has touched a 52 week high of Rs 29.00 on 13-Jun-2012 and a 52 week low of Rs 20.25 on 30-Aug-2012.

Last one week high and low of the scrip stood at Rs 24.05 and Rs 21.00 respectively. The current market cap of the company is Rs 5693.85 crore.

The promoters holding in the company stood at 38.61% while Institutions and Non-Institutions held 30.02% and 17.95% respectively.

Ashok Leyland is reportedly planning to raise Rs 300 crore via dual tranche bonds, which are rated ‘AA-’ by ICRA.  The company will issue three-year bonds at 9.45% and five-year bonds at 9.60%. Meanwhile, Axis Bank is the sole arranger to the bond sale.

For the year ended March 31, 2013, the company registered 23.37% fall in its net profit at Rs 433.70 crore in FY13 as against Rs 565.97 crore in previous years. Total income of the company has decreased to Rs 12481.20 crore as compared to Rs 12904.32 crore in FY12, down by 3.28%.
