Physical rubber prices finished almost unchanged on Friday. The absence of follow up buying from the tyre sector and a weak closing in domestic futures kept the commodity under pressure during the day. But it managed to sustain at the prevailing levels on supply concerns.
Spot prices for RSS-4 and RSS-5 variety remained unchanged at Rs 175/ kg and Rs 170/ kg respectively.
In the futures market, contract of June delivery weakened to Rs 175.70 compared to its previous close of Rs 176.86, while July delivery closed at Rs 171.81 compared to its previous closing of Rs 173.39 on the National Multi Commodity Exchange (NMCE).
